“Courage & Motivation” Two small Ingredients in Entrepreneur Success.

About 6 years ago a man told me something that truly made me think. He told me to look at the ups and down of Donald Trumps life, and ask myself do I consider him successful.  I thought for a moment and replied to him with a yes.  When he asked me why I told him it was because he has been involved in so many things both good and bad and is still involved in the entrepreneur game.  That’s when I stopped and recognized an interesting piece on the entrepreneur puzzle.  Mr. Trump has had the courage and motivation to continue to go after his goals and dreams. No matter what down falls may have fallen upon him.  That day I became determined to get one of my ideas off the ground.  I became motivated to take action and researched every step of my path. I found resources on the Internet that guided me to where I need to be, I found forums of people with the same questions I had, and I got answers and I took the steps needed to create a business I considered successful.

The most important thing when it comes to being an entrepreneur or getting involved in your own business is courage and motivation.  Without either of these you most likely won‘t even get off the couch or out of the starting gate. The first thing you need is the courage to actually go out there and give 100% to making a dream become a reality.  All while not knowing where you’ll get the funding, how to set up a business, where to get licensing and all the other questions you feel you don’t have answers to.  Now continue to go after your dream and find the answers to those questions and that is motivation.  As I stated before many entrepreneurs have been involved in many things and it can take a lot of courage to get back on the saddle of business. Especially after investing time and money into a horse that just kicks you off without a ROI.

You can’t sit there on Sunday with your friends and family talking about a great business idea and let it fizzle out of your mind before you even have desert.  You must take control and seize the courage and motivation to move the idea forward.  Most people talk about wanting financial freedom and say they would do anything for it, but only a very small percentage actually move forward in any way with their need or want of freedom.  With the Internet available just about everywhere you go, the resource are at the tips of your fingers.  Getting started in business is not hard, succeeding can be.  However the biggest thing that will hold you back is you own mind.

Seems to be the case
You hit it right on the head. I was too scared to go after a business idea I had, so I gave it to my brother to do. He took off with the idea and now I am the borrowing money fromhim. Courage is the most important.

I think motivation is just as much a part of success as anything else, but we are missing devotion. You must devote yourself to the plan ahead. When there is total commitment success is far from hard.
